Adapting listings for international markets

Rewrite the same product facts so they land with buyers in different regions.

Pick the right tool and lock the source facts

Use the Product Description Generator. In the brief, paste your existing product facts: name, materials, dimensions, certifications, key features. These facts do not change across markets. What changes is the framing.

Below the facts, add a second section with the target market details: country, preferred units, cultural references, and tone. The model uses the first section as constraints and the second section as adaptation instructions. The output preserves the facts and rewrites the framing.

Tone by market, in one word

'Direct and practical' often works for German listings. 'Warm and inviting' often works for Japan. 'Friendly and energetic' often works for the US. 'Restrained and premium' often works for France. These are starting points, not rules. The right tone also depends on your category, brand, and price point.

Generate the same brief twice with two different tone words and compare. The first variant is rarely the best. The second or third variant usually has a tighter rhythm and a more natural fit. Pick the one a local friend would say sounds like a real person wrote it.

Always run a native speaker pass

A native speaker pass takes 10-15 minutes per listing. It catches idioms that are slightly off, cultural references that do not land, and word choices that no local would actually use. AI drafts are good enough on structure; they are not yet good enough on nuance.

If a market is large enough, build a small panel of 3-5 native speakers who each get paid per review. The cost is small; the lift in conversion is real.
